The European dental sector urges the EU to modernise undergraduate training, and update clinical standards originally established in 1978.
Prof. Brian O’Connell, ADEE President, Prof James Field, Chair of the ADEE Graduating European Dentist (GED) Taskforce, and Dr Freddie Sloth Lisbjerg, President of the Council of European Dentists, invited in February 2026 in Copenhagen different stakeholders of the dental sector -i.a. academics, practitioners, regulators, students- to a new edition of a workshop dedicated to the Graduating European Dentist. FEDCAR was participating.
A common declaration concludes this fruitful meeting, covering comprehensively the issues and solutions to the current situation of dental training in Europe, taking into consideration the EU agenda.
